Photogrammetric Data Capture

The only practical solution to capture the geographical information of this huge area to an adequate accuracy will be a photogrammetric approach.
Therefore 179 aerial photos (1:10.000) of the two photoflight missions in May 1997 and May 1998 are used.

After finishing the aerial triangulation by using the ERDAS Imagine LPS (Leica Photogrammetry Suite) software, it was possible to capture all the vector data of the lines and geoglyphs. Furthermore a local DTM and an orthophoto-mosaic were generated.
